When to use Case Studies instead of Testimonials.

Many coaches make this mistake with their social proof.

They think that testimonials are the best way to build credibility for their offers.

And sure, it does help a little.

For instance, on your sales page having heaps of testimonials always leads to a better conversion rate…

…when compared to a sales page that doesn’t have any.

But what if I told you that on your webinar or live presentation that you actually want to use something way more powerful than testimonials?

Something that builds BOTH desire and connection with your audience.

You see on your webinar, if done correctly…

… you are systematically building a connection with your audience.

And while testimonials build desire, they don’t necessarily build connection.

So what is this super powerful desire and connection tool?

Case Studies.

You see, case studies work so well in place of testimonials on your webinar because they take your audience on a journey.

They get to see how someone, oftentimes in their shoes went from a place of struggle to a place of success.

As a guide, I generally like for my case studies to answer these questions and for them to be presented in this order as well…

What’s the problem someone is facing?

What was the desire they had?

What was the resistance they felt?

What was the tool or strategy they used?

What was the breakthrough they experienced?

Remember you are taking your audience on a journey.

This creates desire & connection.

Presenting from a webinar or a live stage creates authority.

And when you combine authority and connection that’s when the magic happens…

That’s when you get conversions!
