The response has been amazing!
Last week’s special podcast episode with my wife Sarah received so many direct messages from people saying that it was not only incredibly valuable…
….but you laughed the whole way through! If you missed Part 1 go here.
I want to continue this journey with you in part two today.
My wife and I unpack our biggest lessons from running a multi-million dollar coaching business in 2024.
We grew the business 25% in a very uncertain down market this year.
There were many lessons that I want to share with you, which I believe will make a big difference in making 2025 your best year.
Here’s a sneak peak of the remaining 6 of 9 lessons…
Lesson 4: You must continually need to be nimble
The market is always changing. Social media is always changing. You never graduate from having to be flexible when it comes to business. Your business is like a living organism that needs to adapt.
Lesson 5: Build your programs for results (this one is huge on the podcast)
Most people build their coaching business around themselves because they think that’s what their audience wants. In fact their audience often thinks that’s what they want as well. In reality, what they really want is a result. So instead everything you build should be around a result. Ask yourself “What do I need to put in my program to get results even without me?”
Lesson 6: Build powerhouse partnerships
About 50% of our business comes from our partnerships. Just this past year alone we did a big launch with Jenna Kutcher which drove a large number of students into the Academy. Partnerships open up doors that you wouldn’t normally have access to.
Lesson 7: Attract a team with A players
We currently have a core team of 4 people. Not including contractors. We’ve hired slowly on purpose to make sure we get A players. As we want a big business with a smaller ninja awesome team. We pay them well and not to toot my own horn but we treat them very well. When you take care of them, they naturally want to perform for you.
Lesson 8: Always growing together (or you’ll grow apart)
This lesson is more of a marriage lesson but also is very relevant for us since we are partners in the business. But we always try to grow together. We do this by attending the same events together and being in masterminds together. This has really helped us avoid life transition point conflicts.
Lesson 9: Consistency compounds your success
To go from amateur to pro, you need consistency. We always stay consistent with our content creation, even when we don’t feel like it. And this has made a massive difference. Because as we’ve built it it’s become a massive snowball.
Those are just snippets of each lesson.
Tune in to hear us expound on each lesson.
