Stop Grabbing $1 Bills (Your $100 Bills Are Everywhere)

You know that feeling when you’re doing everything in your business and you’re like, “If I just had more hours in the day…”?

Yeah. That’s not the solution.

The real issue is you’re sitting on a bunch of tasks that you don’t actually need to do.

But your brain keeps lying to you:

“It’s faster if I do it myself.” “Nobody can do it like I do.” “I don’t want to bother them.”

Those are the stories that keep you broke and exhausted.

This week I had Ai Cloning – Amber McCue on the podcast, and what she taught me about cloning yourself-multiplying your effort without multiplying your hours-is something every coach, consultant, and expert needs to understand.

She wrote a book on it. Rewrote it. Then rewrote it again (during a two-week internet outage in Ethiopia, which is classic Amber energy).

And what she’s figured out about systems, AI, and delegation will change how you think about building a business that doesn’t depend on you grinding 24/7.

Here’s what we unpack:

1. You’re Grabbing $1 Bills When $100 Benjamin’s Are Everywhere

Imagine money falling from the sky for 30 seconds. Most people grab the ones and fives. Smart operators grab the hundreds. In your business, you’re doing the same thing-spending time on tasks that make you $1 per hour when $100-per-hour opportunities are sitting right there. The fix? Quarterly time audits. Look at where your time is actually going and ask: “Is this a $100 bill activity?” If it’s not, delegate it, automate it, or delete it.

2. Your Systems Are Falling Apart Because You Haven’t Systematized Them

You know what’s wild? Most people don’t capture their own systems. You run a webinar every month, and it feels like it’s the first time every time. You’ve got processes nobody else knows about. Start documenting them. Use voice notes. Use Scribe. Record your screen. Get it out of your head. Because the moment you systematize something, you can hand it off-to a person, to AI, to an actual system. And that’s when your business starts to breathe.

3. Your AI Isn’t Smart Until You Train It

Everyone thinks AI is this magic black box. It’s not. It’s like hiring an employee who knows nothing about your business. You have to train it. Amber built an AI chief of staff for her book launch. It has a defined role, specific responsibilities, and clear outputs. It’s trained on her Google Drive, her Slack conversations, her systems. Now it catches when her website goes down before anyone notices. It flags deadlines. It makes recommendations based on what happened a month ago. That’s not magic. That’s training.

4. The Biggest Block Is Your Ego Dressed Up as “Efficiency”

“I can do it faster.” “I don’t want to bother people.” “It’s easier if I just handle it myself.” These are nice stories. They’re also lies. The real issue? Surrendering. Trusting. Stepping into CEO mode instead of doing-all-the-work mode. Most coaches never make the jump from “I do everything” to “I own everything.” One makes you tired. The other makes you rich and fulfilled. Guess which one your business actually needs?

The magic isn’t in working harder. It’s in working on the right things.

P.S. If you’ve been telling yourself “I can do it faster myself,” that’s the voice of someone who doesn’t know what they don’t know yet. The biggest leap I’ve made in my business is hiring people smarter than me at specific things and letting them run. Amber figured out how to do that with systems and AI. Go read it. >>> GRAB THE BOOK: howtocloneyourself.com
