4 tips to increase your webinar show rate

Picture this…

You spent all this time and money promoting your webinar.

You’ve got hundreds…

Maybe thousands of people signed up.

You’re ready.

Your webinar is ready.

You’re about to change their lives.


Just a small fraction of those that signed up are actually on the webinar.

Has this happened to you before?

It’s important to understand that this is common.

In fact, depending on the industry and the source of where the signups came from this show rate can be as low as 10% and as high as 40%.

The problem is that the highest rate of conversions come from those that show up live.

You see the issue here?

I put together a list of 4 tips that you should implement next time you run a webinar to significantly increase your show rate.

1.) Email them a turn up sequence

It’s one thing for them to sign up and say yes on your landing page. It’s another thing for them to actually show up. So after they register for the webinar you want to send a series of turn up emails. This is a series of at least 3 emails reminding them about the value on the webinar.

2.) Offer a show up live bonus

This is a great way to get people to show up. Make sure that the bonus is relevant to the content you’re teaching and that you don’t reveal the bonus right at the beginning of the presentation.

3.) Retarget Signups

This is a pro tip. If your budget permits, retargeting is always a great idea. You can use a platform like Adroll to easily follow your sign ups around the web wherever they go. You’ll want the creatives to mimic the feel of your landing page… meaning the colors, image, and title as well as have the time & date clear to see.

4.) Consider Evergreen (after a Live webinar is successful)

Oftentimes somebody will sign up and naturally life will get in the way and they can’t attend live. You can avoid this by running an Evergreen (pre-recorded) webinar where they can choose from a variety of times. Most platforms allow them to sign up and view it within minutes.

The key is to stay top of mind & to build anticipation.
