Nothing is worse than a dull presentation.
Well, maybe that’s not true, decaf coffee is worse.
But a dull, dead, boring webinar is a close second.
It’s like sitting in one of those brain numbing university classes when you were in college. But it doesn’t have to be that way, you can run webinars that fully ROCK. Where the audience is eating out of your hand, engaging in the chat and crazy excited to join your programs.
I went deep into 3 strategies to up engagement on your webinars in this week’s episode of the Expert Edge Podcast.
Here is one strategy that I reveal on the episode.
Strategy 1 of 3: Ask for Easy
Most people ask too difficult questions when they teach. Don’t ask a question that will require the audience to think for longer than 2 seconds. So, none of those “When was the first time you found yourself in a dark place and what was your response to it?” type of questions.
Leave those for the shrink’s couch.
Ask questions like… On a scale 1 -10, where would you rate yourself? Type it in the chat.
Where are you calling in from today?
What’s the hardest part about (insert your topic)?
Simple questions increase engagement and keep the audience psyched.
