1. Don’t start with ads – start with proof

The biggest misconception is that you should jump into paid ads right away. Wrong. Build a small following first. Validate your offer organically. Once you’ve got proof that people will buy, then add paid ads.

2. Cold traffic isn’t a weakness – it’s a compounding asset

People worry that cold audiences won’t convert. But here’s the thing: they don’t have to convert the first time. Someone watches your webinar once, doesn’t buy. Next month they’re warm. Third time? They buy. My friends Expert business is doing $15M/year has an average of three webinar watches before purchase. Cold becomes warm. Warm becomes buyers. That’s the game.

3. Your organic audience can’t keep up with your revenue goals

You can only scale organics so much. You’re capped by how much content you can create and how much the algorithm pushes it. But with paid ads? You just pay for the views. You can scale almost infinitely. If you’re trying to grow and hitting a ceiling, this is why.

4. Let the data decide, not the haters

You’re going to get nasty comments when you run ads. Some guy in his basement is going to leave you a one-star review. Don’t let that guy run your business. Look at the data. Are people clicking? Are they registering? Are they buying? If yes, you’re making an impact. Ignore the noise.

5. Negative comments = you’re reaching new people

Here’s the reframe that’ll change everything: When you start getting bad comments, it’s the cleanest indicator that you’re reaching people who don’t know you yet. Until then, you’re only reaching people who already like and trust you. The haters mean you’re pushing boundaries. That’s growth.
