There are two kinds of thoughts that creep in around 2AM…
1. “Did I actually lock the front door?”
2. “Why does this launch feel like it’s flopping again and I’m scared my business will fail!??”
If you’ve ever found yourself spiraling in the middle of a launch, a coaching drought, or after seeing a single unsubscribed email—you’re not alone.
We all hit moments in business where fear, doubt, or straight-up panic starts driving the bus.
But here’s the thing: it’s not the fear that’s the problem.
It’s the questions you ask yourself when you’re in it.
Most people try to think their way out of fear using the same logic that got them stuck in the first place.
But transformation doesn’t come from overthinking—it comes from better questions.
And that’s what this week’s episode is all about.
Listen now: Episode 276 | The 5 Coaching Questions That Will Get You Out of Fear and Into Power
These are the exact five questions I return to—personally and with clients—when I’m spinning out, doubting everything, or just feel like I’ve lost my footing.
They’re simple. They’re powerful. And they actually work.
Here’s what they are (with a little context for each):
1. What’s great about this? (In the podcast I share a personal story about losing 70% of my planned yearly income in one phone call and how I turned this around in 90 days)
By the way, you’ll want to punch this question in the face at first—but once you sit with it, it will show you the opportunity inside the obstacle.
2. What do I want?
Get brutally honest. Fear fogs your clarity. This question brings it back.
When I got super clear on what I wanted and clarified it, my income went from 6 to 7 figures. Seriously.
3. Who’s already done this—and how did they do it?
Someone has already walked this path. Find their trail and reverse engineer your way forward.
4. If I were certain of my success, how would I act?
Spoiler: it’s not hiding in your inbox or changing your logo for the 14th time. It’s bold, focused action.
I’ve made many “let’s bet the house” moves in my life. Most have paid off big time, some have been painful. But it’s always been transformational. In a season of uncertainty and fear, you need to lean into this question.
5. What’s the ONE thing that would make everything else easier or even unnecessary?
This question (from The One thing Book) simplifies the chaos. It brings you back to the lever that actually moves the needle.
I know you probably just read through those questions and thought – “Oh those are good”, but before you go to your next email, I’d recommend you to take a quick listen to the episode as I share lots of personal examples and stories that will bring these to life and apply them to your life.
