30% Of Coaches Struggle With This

Are you a highly sensitive entrepreneur who feels EVERYTHING deeply?

I’ve been noticing something interesting among the coaches and course creators I work with…

Many of them possess an extraordinary ability to deeply understand their clients’ needs, create transformative content, and build authentic connections.

But there’s a flip side:

These same entrepreneurs often struggle with burnout, overwhelm, and the relentless pace of online business.

Sound familiar?

There’s a reason for this, and it affects about 30% of entrepreneurs (maybe you):

You might be a highly sensitive person trying to build a business in an increasingly overwhelming digital world.

This week on the Expert Edge Podcast, I had a fascinating conversation with my wife Sarah Boyd about managing stress as a highly sensitive entrepreneur while also discussing her new book, “Turn Down the Noise.” Grab your copy of the book here!

From Sarah’s book “Turn Down the Noise,” here are two powerful practices specifically adapted for coaches and course creators:

1. Implement a Business Sabbath – Set aside a 24-hour period each week with no work, no client calls, no course creation, and no business technology.

“It resets the sensitivity of your dopamine,” Sarah explains. This practice helps you get back to baseline, enhancing creativity and presence when you return to work.

I’ll confess – sometimes I feel worse on our Sabbath days because my phone addiction is screaming at me! But the reset it provides is invaluable for sustainable business growth.

2. Schedule Space for Play – Create time for activities that have no business purpose whatsoever – things that get you into a flow state simply for enjoyment.

“Joy is what bolsters resilience and creativity,” Sarah emphasizes. “We need energy to push through hard things. And one of the ways we get that energy is by having time off and doing things that are enjoyable.”

For highly sensitive entrepreneurs, these restorative practices aren’t optional luxuries – they’re essential business strategies.

These are just 2 nuggets of the goldmine that is “Turn Down The Noise”
