You probably know that storytelling is important, but you don&#8217;t really know how to <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">not tell a boring story<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">!<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>The good news is on this week&#8217;s Expert Edge Podcast (and in the message below) I went deep into three little-known strategies that very few people understand when it comes to storytelling.<\/b><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.expertedgepodcast.com\/blog\/episode146\"><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Note: The first strategy is something that I would recommend you listen to on the podcast, it&#8217;s a recent revelation that I&#8217;m pretty excited about.<\/span><\/i><\/a><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">But in a nutshell, here they are: <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><b>1. You need to have inner and outer experiences<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">When you tell a story the outer experience of your story captures the interest of the audience but the inner experience of the story allows them to enter the story themselves.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">For example, the outer experience may explain your surroundings and your inner experience will explain how you are feeling in that given moment.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">I explained this deeply in the podcast this week!!!<\/span><\/p>\n<ol start=\"2\">\n<li><b> Use V.A.K<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">VAK stands for Visual, Auditory and Kinesthetic.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Describe what you saw visually, what you heard auditory, and what you felt kinesthetically.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">For example: Instead of just saying you went to the beach, you might describe the sunset that you saw when you went to the beach, the sound of the waves crashing on the shore and the cool ocean breeze on your face.<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<ol start=\"3\">\n<li><b> Link the story to a sense of meaning<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The content of your story isn\u2019t going to be relevant for most of your audience but the meaning you give the story should resonate with all of them.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Think &#8211; What new perspective did this story give you?<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">These are the types of strategies, among many others that I&#8217;ll be going over in our upcoming Free training series called <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/colinboyd.co\/dev2\/stage\"><b>Sell From Webinar &amp; Live Stages.<\/b><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">So if you enjoy this episode, come and join us on the Free Training series by registering here: <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/colinboyd.co\/dev2\/stage\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">https:\/\/colinboyd.co\/dev2\/stage<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.expertedgepodcast.com\/blog\/episode146\"><b>If you want to explore storytelling more deeply make sure to listen to this short episode 146 | <\/b><b>3 Big Ideas To Make Your Stories More Engaging (Even If You Feel Like You Are Boring)<\/b><\/a><b><br \/>\n<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>Podcast Description:&nbsp;<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Most coaches and experts understand the importance of telling stories.
